Last, but certainly not least, the new AMG engine will be available on the E63: a 5.5-liter Biturbo V8 capable of a startling 518 horsepower. Both engines are engineered for optimal fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions. This is thanks in part to direct-injection technology, turbocharging technology, and the updated 7-speed automatic transmission. The 7G-Tronic allows for quicker shifts, lower engine revs, and less vibration. With the AMG engine, you can benefit from the ECO start/top engine function, which turns the engine off when you are at a stop and resumes function when you take your foot off of the brake.
